southwestern Washington timberlands and streams for a
State-sponsored scientific study. Work in the field
semi-independently. Physically demanding; qualified applicants
must demonstrate outdoor experience, ability to navigate and
work safely in rugged terrain. Experience with timber cruising,
wildlife surveys, or other on-the-ground natural resources
management tasks, safety training, and first aid training skills
are a plus.
Start date anticipated June 30; survey work expected to extend

position provides field hydrogeology expertise and other
professional support to the Fort Lewis Environmental Restoration
Program, which is the lead agency for cleanup actions under the
Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and
Liability Act (CERCLA) and Model Toxics Control Act (MTCA) at
Fort Lewis and other Department of Defense installations. The
primary workload at this time includes groundwater monitoring,
operation and maintenance of groundwater pump-and-treat
remediation systems, and associated reporting for two National
