One-four Students to investigate a geologic topic/question and submit Poster Session Application by Jan 31, 2019

 

Application approval & comments by Feb 28

 

Research and prepare Poster following GSA abstract format* & poster board 32 x 40 inches

Exhibit Poster at NWGS May 14, 2019 meeting 4-9 pm and available to give 3 min summary with Q&A

 

Awards Announced May 14 at 8:30 pm

Divided into two levels-community colleges & universities:

First Prize $3-500 plus May dinner, one-year NWGS membership

Second Prize $1-200 plus May dinner, one-year NWGS membership

Honorable Mention plus May dinner, one-year NWGS membership

 

Application-Send name(s), address(es), email(s), cell, proposed Poster Session Topic/Question and proposed investigation, faculty advisor(s) if available, no fee, and submit to NWSG Poster Coordinator by Jan 31, 2019.

*Poster submittal will follow Geological Society of America abstract guidelines using poster board 32 x 40 inches.  Abstract limited to one page, font 11, margins 1 inch, approximately 300 words with Title, Author(s) last name, first name, school, second author last name…, Abstract including hypothesis, method, analysis, results, interpretation, graphic and/or modelling results and recommendations (300 words).
