Hydrogeologist / Permit Writer (Hydrogeologist 2)

The Water Resources (WR) program within the Department of Ecology is looking to fill a Hydrogeologist/Permit Writer (Hydrogeologist 2) position. This position is located in our Central Region Office (CRO) in Union Gap, WA. Upon hire, you must live within a commutable distance from the duty station.

In this position you will be involved in solving complex water resources issues while working with the interesting and unique hydrogeology located in Central Washington. During the work of this position, you will gain experience working with water rights in Washington and experience doing hydrogeologic analysis in the different environments found in our region.

Program Mission: The mission of the Water Resources Program is to is to support sustainable water resources management to meet the present and future water needs of people and the natural environment, in partnership with Washington communities.

Tele-work options for this position: This position will be eligible for up to a 60% tele-work schedule. SALARY: $60,156.00 – $80,952.00 Annually *The salary listed doesn’t include the scheduled 4% general salary increase effective 7/1/2023.*
